Background of the Study

1.2 Statement of the Problem
While substance abuse is a growing concern in Lafia LGA, there are limited efforts to educate the public through journalism on the dangers and preventive measures associated with drug abuse. Journalists face challenges such as insufficient funding for substance abuse awareness programs and the difficulty of reaching vulnerable populations.
